'Ridiculously Good Fun': Tomato Pulp Covers Spanish Town After Annual Festival

The pulp of thousands of ripened tomatoes littered the eastern Spanish town of Bunol on Wednesday, August 28, following the annual La Tomatina festival.

Footage captured and posted to X by David Cant shows conditions during the famous food fight on Wednesday. “Messy scenes from La Tomatina festival in Bunol today, which was ridiculously good fun,” he wrote.

An estimated 22,000 people attended this year’s festival, Spanish outlet El Pais reported.
