Reuters footage captured the interception of some of the rockets fired at Israel, and the ensuing fires they had caused in open fields in the northern border area.

Iran-backed Hezbollah and Israel have been trading near-daily fire since the eruption of the Gaza war in October, but the last three days have seen a sharp rise following the Israeli strike on Tuesday (June 11) that killed a senior Hezbollah field commander.

The exchanges of fire have also displaced tens of thousands of people on both sides of the border.
