Porsche 718 EV - Everything We Know So Far About the Electric Boxster/Cayman

In this video, I break down everything we know so far about the 2025 Porsche 718 EV Boxster/Cayman. I'll go over the exterior and interior design of the next generation of the 718 Boxster/Cayman. Then I'll take you through some potential features and performance specs. Finally, I'll compare it to competitors like the Lotus Emira and Chevrolet Corvette C8. The Boxster gave Porsche a huge boost in sales upon its debut in the late 1990's and the addition of the Cayman in 2005 only padded sales numbers. In 2016, Porsche added the 718 nameplate to unite the models with the current 982 generation. This generation is growing old and Porsche plans to release the next generation of the 718 by 2025 with the addition of an EV. This electric 718 will come standard with one synchronous motor on the rear axle, and higher spec models will come with another motor fitted to the front axle. Performance can be expected to be similar to what we've seen on the Taycan. This means power output in the rang of 400-600 hp and a sub 4 second 0-60 time. The starting price for the EV should be somewhere around $80,000. Thanks for watching!
