Satellite imagery captured a strong storm swirling across Ireland and the United Kingdom overnight into Wednesday, September 27, as Storm Agnes made landfall in the region.

In Ireland, thousands of residents in Cork were without power, local media reported, while the south and east parts of the county would “get the worse of the wind and rain.”
