Ukrainian authorities said a Russian missile struck the hospital not far from central Kyiv at around 10 a.m. (0700 GMT). A large part of the two-story center housing the toxicology ward was flattened, while windows were blown out in the main 11-floor building nearby.
The Ukrainian Health Minister said that five units of the children's hospital, the largest and best equipped in the country, were damaged and children were evacuated to other facilities.
