Bull Elk Stares Down Man Outside Estes Park Home

A Colorado resident had a close encounter with a large bull elk outside his Estes Park home, a recent video shows.

Wes Moore was recording a seemingly picturesque scene of bull elk, mule deer, and turkeys milling about outside his home when the elk spotted Moore and lurched toward him.

Moore’s video shows him retreat toward his house as the bull elk charges at the other animals.

Speaking to Storyful, Moore said this was not an unusual sight. “The animals are here daily. The yard is always full of turkeys, mule deer, and elk,” he said. Credit: Wes Moore via Storyful
