Dixie Fire Burns Nearly 8,000 Acres Across Northern California

The 7,947-acre Dixie Fire burning in northern California’s Butte and Plumas counties reached seven percent containment on Friday, July 16, according to fire officials.

On Thursday, the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office issued a mandatory evacuation order for parts of the county. An evacuation warning was in place for Butte County.
