Satellite Imagery Shows Convoy of Vehicles Arriving at Belarusian Military Base

Satellite imagery taken on July 17 showed a vehicle convoy arriving at a military base near the Belarusian town of Asipovichy.

The images, provided by Planet Labs and taken on the morning of July 17, show a column of vehicles entering the base. An image taken close to midday the day before showed no vehicles at the location.

Footage circulating on social media on July 18 showed a long column of military trucks, 18-wheelers, pickups, and cars moving along the M-5 highway in the direction of Asipovichy, which is about 55 miles southeast of the Belarus capital, Minsk.

Further footage circulating on social media on July 18 showed a number of convoys with Wagner insignias parked along roadsides. Storyful verified that at least one video showed a convoy parked within Russia, heading north in the country’s Voronezh region.
