Typhoon Kompasu Brings Down Trees in China's Hainan Province

Typhoon Kompasu brought down trees in China’s Hainan province, and produced powerful wind gusts and heavy rainfall on October 13

Kompasu made landfall at around 3:40 pm local time bearing winds of up to 118.8 km/h. The storm was the strongest system to hit the southern island province in five years, according to the Haikou City Meteorological Observatory.
