Kids Take to the Slopes in Brooklyn's Prospect Park After Nor'easter

Young New Yorkers enjoyed a snow-covered Prospect Park in Brooklyn on December 17, after a night of heavy snow left almost a foot accumulated in the Bronx and several inches elsewhere.

This footage, recorded by Storyful employee Evelien de Vogel, shows families in the park enjoying a snow-covered slope fit for sledding.

The National Weather Service said 6.5 inches of snow and sleet was recorded in Central Park shortly after midnight on December 17 – more than the 4.8-inch total for all of the 2019-2020 winter season. Credit: Evelien de Vogel via Storyful
