'Crying kid': Pygmy goat rescued by police officers

Police officers in Queens, New York, came to the rescue of what they believed to be a “crying” baby goat on April 24. The goat was later identified as an adult pygmy.

The NYPD said officers Palmer and Spicer found a “crying kid” and placed it in the care of Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC) in Brooklyn.

The ACC identified the animal, named “Josh”, as an adult pygmy goat, and said it would soon to be homed at Skylands Animal Sanctuary and Rescue in Wantage, New Jersey. Credit: NYPD via Storyful
