Voters lined up on Thursday morning, October 15, to cast their ballots as early voting began in North Carolina.

Senator Sam Searcy, a Democratic member of the North Carolina General Assembly representing the state’s 17th district, shared this video of voters at the Avery Street Recreation Center in Garner, noting that there were “easily hundreds of people” in line before the polls had opened.

“This crowd has to be record setting,” Searcy said on Twitter. Credit: Senator Sam Searcy via Storyful
