Gases Rise From Crater of Mexico's Popocatepetl Volcano

Members of the public were urged not to approach Popocatépetl volcano due to the risk of falling ballistic fragments, Mexico’s National Center for Disaster Prevention (CENAPRED) warned on February 19.

CENAPRED said that a number of eruptions of steam and gas were recorded on February 19, as well as one explosion.
