Three police officers in Balch Springs, Texas, are being hailed as heroes after they helped save the life of a 10-year-old boy who was trapped in a burning apartment building on December 10.

Balch Springs Police Department shared on Facebook that Officers David Fields, Tyler Gross and Offcer Cody Jones responded to a fire call and a boy and his mother trapped on the second floor.

One of the officers broke the window by throwing his baton. In the footage, the boy can be seen breaking off the glass as the officers encourage him to jump. The boy says he’s scared but then jumps into the arms of the three officers who safely catch the boy.
