Heavy Rain Causes Flooding in Eastern Texas

Flash flooding brought on by heavy rainfall caused a road to close in Lufkin, Texas, on Thursday, April 6.

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a flash flood warning for the area, and said heavy rain and flooding risk would continue into Friday morning. Heavy rain and potential flooding was also expected in other parts of eastern Texas, according to the NWS.
