Police Called on Man Waving Law Enforcement-Support Flag Outside Little Rock Nike Store

A Little Rock, Arkansas, Nike store called police on September 13 on a man in front of the store waving a flag in support of law enforcement and against Nike’s use of former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick in ads.

Allison Siler shared a video of the man, Jimmie Cavin, standing outside the Nike store with his flag, writing, “I recently met this awesome guy, Jimmie Cavin. A huge shout out to you, and thank you to your sons for their service!”

Cavin’s public show of support for law enforcement outside the sporting goods store appeared to be spurred from Nike’s use of Kaepernick in its 30th anniversary campaign.

“Now what better place to wave the flag than right here in front of the Nike store,” he says in a video he shared to Facebook.

Local news reported that Cavin has a history of public shows of support for law enforcement.

Local media, quoted Cavin, said police left almost as quickly as they arrived.

Cavin returned to the same Nike store on September 19, according to another video he posted to Facebook, writing “Hey Nike……I’m Back ! #RELENTLESS” on the post. Credit: Allison Siler via Storyful
