Protesters Clash With Journalists Covering Sabarimala Temple Row

Protesters in Kerala, India, on October 16 attacked female journalists who were reporting on their attempt to stop women from entering the Sabarimala temple.

Female protesters boarded a bus and shouted at assembled journalists. Dravika Trehan, a journalism student who recorded this video, says the women then dragged people off the bus.

Despite warnings that they would be in contempt of court, protesters continued to express their disapproval at a ruling that overturned a centuries-long ban prohibiting women and girls over the age of 10 from worshiping at the temple.
