North Korean leader Kim Jong-un met Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Vostochny Cosmodrome in Russia’s far east on Wednesday, September 13, amid reports Moscow was seeking North Korean ammunition for its war in Ukraine.

Video posted by the Kremlin shows Putin and Kim at the spaceport during Kim’s second visit to Russia since assuming power.

The Kremlin said the two inspected the spaceport facilities, including the assembly shop and launch complex for the Soyuz-2 rocket.

The North Korean leader arrived in Russia on Tuesday by train and met Russia’s resources minister. The Kremlin had confirmed a meeting with Putin would take place on Wednesday.

A US State Department spokesman said on September 11 Putin was seeking North Korean ammunition to replenish depleted stocks from the war in Ukraine.
