A brush fire started in the Santa Rita Mountains, south of Tucson, on June 16, as Arizona continued to experience a record-breaking heat wave, local fire officials said.

The fire, dubbed the Heavy Fire, grew to 30 acres within a few hours of its start, the Green Valley Fire District reported. “High Temps and low humidity are a dangerous mix to add to this fire,” they said.
