UK Labour leader Keir Starmer welcomed Christian Wakeford to the party fold during Prime Minister’s Questions on January 19, after the MP left the Conservative Party amid the continuing controversy over lockdown parties at Downing Street.
It was a rowdy session in parliament, with an embattled Prime Minister Boris Johnson facing criticism from both sides of the house.
After one of speaker Lindsay Hoyle’s interventions, Starmer quipped that he was sure the chief whip had told MPs to “bring their own boos”.
Responding to Starmer, Johnson said the Conservatives would win back Wakeford’s Bury South seat. Credit: Parliament TV via Storyful
