A man was rescued from a precarious position high on a cliff by a California Highway Patrol air operations crew near Ragged Point on November 29.

The CHP said the man was found clinging to a “small ledge several hundred feet above the surfline and over a hundred feet below the highway.”

Footage shared by the CHP shows the air crew locate the man, lower the rescuer and net to him, and raise him to the helicopter.

The man received medical care from a local ambulance service, the CHP said. Credit: CHP – Coastal Division Air Operations via Storyful
