Carrie Lam Forced to Abandon Legco Speech Amid Heckles From Opposition

Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam was forced to suspend her annual address after being shouted down in parliament on October 16.

This footage shows Lam being heckled as she entered the Legislative Council and attempted to address the chamber on Wednesday. 

Pro-democracy lawmakers shouted and projected slogans.

The Beijing-backed leader twice tried to deliver her speech before the session was adjourned.
