Dozens Arrested in Rotterdam as Anti-Curfew Disturbances Continue

Rotterdam’s mayor issued an emergency order requesting people to return home during riots in the city on Monday night, January 25.

At times violent protests against a government-mandated COVID curfew have broken out in several Dutch towns and cities since the measure was brought in at the weekend.

In Rotterdam on Monday night, local media reported looting, vandalism, and attacks on police.

Police said they had arrested more than 50 people.
