Dozens Feared Trapped Following Landslide in El Salvador

Dozens of people were reported buried following a landslide in the Nejapa municipality of El Salvador late on Thursday, October 29, with several deaths expected to be confirmed.

Rescue teams responded to the site with sniffer dogs in an attempt to remove survivors and bodies from the rubble. Approximately 30 homes were destroyed in the landslide, according to Adolfo Barrios, the mayor of Nejapa.

This footage shows rescue crews at the site of the landslide, which occurred around 10 pm in the Angelitos 2 village.
