Driver Nearly Hits Iowa Highway Worker Before Crashing Car

An Iowa highway worker jumped over a barrier to safety as an out-of-control car sped towards him and crashed into his vehicle on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 3.

Footage released by the Iowa Department of Transportation shows the incident, which they said occurred in the westbound lanes of I-235 in Des Moines.

According to local reports and a post on the Des Moines Police Facebook page, the highway worker was assisting a disabled vehicle on the highway at the time of the incident, and suffered a minor arm injury.
