Motorists in St Petersburg, Florida, were seen lining up for sandbags on Monday, September 26, ahead of the anticipated arrival of Hurricane Ian.
According to the National Hurricane Center (NHC), Ian is expected to impact Cuba on September 26 before it reaches Florida on September 27.
The NHC forecasted that part of Florida will experience life-threatening storm surges and hurricane-force winds as Ian approaches.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis declared a state of emergency on September 24 in response to the hurricane.
