Heavy rain swept through Tucson, Arizona, on Tuesday, August 16, damaging houses in the region, according to social media users.
This footage posted to Twitter by Leanna Rapier shows a downpour of rain and strong winds as well as leakage in her house.
Rapier told Storyful that the strong winds pushed rain through every crack in her house, flooding her husband’s office and causing her garage roof to leak in five places.
The National Weather Service (NWS) warned of storms in the region and said locals should expect brief heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and the potential for localized flooding.
The NWS forecasted more thunderstorm activity in the region from Wednesday, August 17, to Sunday, August 21, with the risk of widespread flash flooding. Credit: Leanna Rapier via Storyful
