Heavy Snow Causes Transport Disruption in Turkey

Thousands of personnel were deployed across Turkey on January 24-25 to clear roads and help people stranded amid heavy snow, the country’s disaster management agency AFAD said.

All flights from Istanbul airport were suspended until at least 1 pm on Tuesday.

This video, taken by Ibrahim Gunduz, shows heavy snow at a filling station just outside Istanbul.
