Hungover Man Relates to Thirsty Manatee at Key West Marina

A Florida resident could totally relate when he saw a thirsty manatee catching fresh water drops while it lazed on its a back at a Key West marina on Sunday, April 11.

Footage by Christopher Anderson shows the animal sprawled on its back as it lets water droplets coming from the dock trickle into its open mouth.

“I live on my sailboat and was parked at a marina in Key West,” Anderson told Storyful. "After a Saturday night downtown partaking in some libations I came up to the deck to see this manatee trying to drink the fresh water runoff.

“In the moment I thought ‘Same buddy, same…’ as we both needed to get some fresh water into our systems,” he joked. Credit: Christopher Anderson via Storyful
