Hurricane Ian Death Toll Rises to 54 in Lee County, Florida Officials Say

At least 54 people died in Lee County, Florida, as a result of Hurricane Ian by Monday, October 3, officials said.

During a press briefing, Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno also said search and rescue teams had conducted more than 800 rescues.
