The outer bands of Hurricane Ian brought high winds to the Atlantic coast in Georgia and Florida as the storm neared landfall off the west coast of Florida on Wednesday, September 28.

Ahead of the storm, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp issued a State of Emergency, which would be in effect from Thursday morning, September 29, to Sunday night, October 2.
