Climate activist group Just Stop Oil disrupted traffic on roads in London on Monday, November 28, to demand that the government halt all new oil and gas licences and consents.
At 8 am, 13 Just Stop Oil supporters blocked a road at Shepherd’s Bush Green in west London, causing traffic delays, the group said in a press release. A further action occurred on the Strand in central London.
Just Stop Oil said police had arrested two people at the time of writing.
The actions were the first in over two weeks, after the end of six weeks of protest by supporters of Just Stop Oil. Police made over 700 arrests of Just Stop Oil supporters during that time, the group said. Credit: Just Stop Oil via Storyful
