A massive plume of smoke billowed over Washington on Saturday, December 3, as a fire engulfed a vacant building in the southeast of the capital, according to local fire officials.
The DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department said the blaze at King Avenue Southeast was a second alarm fire and approximately 20 units and 100 personnel worked to contain it.
By Saturday evening, the department said the fire was under control and no injuries reported
