At Least 9 Dead, 6 Missing After Seoul Sees Heaviest Rainfall in '115 Years'

At least nine people have died, and six were reported missing in the Seoul area on Tuesday, August 9, after record overnight rainfall flooded South Korean homes, roads, and the Seoul metro system, according to local news reports.

This footage uploaded to Twitter by user @dreaming_woorim shows a flooded metro station in the city.

Local news said the downpour in Seoul was the heaviest in 115 years, as the Ministry of the Interior and Safety urged locals in affected areas to evacuate.
