A supercell cloud arrived over the city of Melville, Saskatchewan, on July 12, with one local resident capturing footage of the conditions as lightning strikes illuminated the sky.

Environment and Climate Change Canada released a thunderstorm warning for the area in the lead-up to the storm.

Dale Kerestesh captured footage of the meteorological phenomenon behind the city’s distinctive water tower, near his home.
