Little Boy With Rare Condition Walks for First Time Following Surgery

Just two days after having surgery for a rare condition on October 16, Heather Figeuroa’s 23-month-old son Branson was back on his feet in Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, as seen in this video posted online by his mother.

Figeuroa told Storyful that Branson was born with craniosynostosis, a birth defect in which the bones in a baby’s skull join together too early.

Only a few days after his cranial vault remodeling surgery, Branson was back home in Nottingham, New Hampshire, and smiling again in a series of photos Figeuroa also shared online to document his progress.
