A man was arrested in Kingston, Jamaica, on October 20 after he was filmed hurling racial slurs at fellow passengers on a JetBlue flight set to depart for New York, according to reports.

Keith Campbell, who shot this footage, said in a YouTube video the man became abusive after cabin crew advised him that he could only put luggage in open overhead baggage compartments.

According to Campbell, the man then sat down and began verbally harassing a black female passenger next to him, accusing her of sitting in his seat and later chanting, “Black lives don’t matter.”

In Campbell’s video of the incident, the man repeatedly shouts the n-word, prompting a flight attendant say, “There’s children on this flight. You need to stop.”

“I can say n***** all I want!” the man replies, later shouting at the attendant, “F*** you and your job b****!”

A spokesperson for JetBlue told US media the man had been banned from the airline, thanking crew “for immediately intervening and requesting the assistance of law enforcement.”

“We have zero tolerance for racism or harassment, and after reviewing this customer’s abhorrent racist behavior, we have determined he is no longer welcome to fly JetBlue,” the spokesperson said.
