A nine-year-old boy recovering from leukemia skated alongside his favorite professional hockey players after Make-A-Wish partnered with the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday, January 24.

Make-A-Wish said that Jackson was in remission from his T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia diagnosis after “aggressive cancer treatment, including a blood transfusion and chemotherapy.”

Video provided by Make-A-Wish, which they said was filmed on Tuesday, shows Jackson living his dream of becoming a Kraken player at Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena.

The organization said that “Jackson thought he was simply going to watch the team practice, but he got the surprise of a lifetime when he was outfitted with gear, including pads, and invited onto the ice to skate with the players as part of the team.” Jackson’s twin brother, Owen, joined in the experience.
