Pod of Orcas Swim Alongside South Africa Whale-Watching Boat

A group of whale watchers got an up-close encounter with a pod of orcas off Plettenberg Bay in South Africa on a recent outing.

Footage taken by Ocean Safaris whale-watching tour guide Ashwynn Baartman shows the pod swim alongside the passenger vessel – much to the amazement of the tourists onboard.

Speaking to Storyful, Baartman said she saw 16 orcas in this pod and that it’s the fourth time she’s witnessed a pod of orcas in the last two months. Credit: Ashwynn Baartman via Storyful
