French police were seen spraying water on crowds in Lyon on March 28, as protests against pension reforms continued in France.

Footage recorded by Twitter user @Bismuthback shows powerful jets of water being aimed at protesters.

Local news, citing the prefecture, said 12,500 demonstrators marched in Lyon, while the unions put the figure at 30,000. Thirty-five officers were lightly injured, and 15 people were arrested.

According to Le Monde, approximately 740,000 people turned out on the 10h day of protests.

On Monday and Tuesday, protesters disrupted rail travel, shut down the Louvre, and caused Biarritz Airport to be evacuated.
