Protesters marched past New York’s Madison Square Garden on the evening of Friday, January 27, hours after footage of Tyre Nichols being fatally beaten by police was released by the city of Memphis.

Footage captured by @ijbailey shows a crowd of demonstrators taking to the streets on Friday.

Five former Memphis Police officers were indicted by a grand jury on January 26 on charges that include the second-degree murder of 29-year-old Nichols.
