Residents in the southeastern Ukrainian city of Nikopol boarded up windows and surveyed damage to buildings after local authorities reported shelling in the region on Monday, August 15.

Footage by Sergio Olmos shows men working to construct protective boards outside a damaged apartment block in Nikopol’s north.

Later, a woman walks Olmos through her apartment. At least one of the rooms has sustained heavy damage, where a large hole has been left in the ceiling.
