Roads Flooded and Trees Felled as Nor'easter Hits Massachusetts

Roads were flooded and trees down in Sandwich, Massachusetts, on Tuesday, October 26, as a nor’easter storm swept the east coast.

By early Wednesday morning, almost 300,000 people in Massachusetts were without power, according to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency’s online map. The National Weather Service said gusts of more than 80 miles per hour were recorded in costal locations in the state, with the service saying that heavy rains could cause flooding in some areas.
