Santa Clarita Residents Come Out in Force for Vigil for School Shooting Victims

Thousands gathered in Santa Clarita, California, on Sunday, November 17, for a vigil to pay respects to the victims of the November 14 Saugus High School shooting that left three dead, including the gunman.

Fifteen-year-old Gracie Anne Muehlberger and 14-year-old Dominic Blackwell were killed and three others were injured when 16-year-old Nathaniel Berhow opened fire at the school.

Berhow died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

On Sunday, thousands of students and locals turned out to the city’s Central Park for a vigil with music and speeches, with the focus on Muehlberger and Blackwell, according to local news reports.
