Smokenado Swirls at Site of Wyoming Wildfire

A swirling column of smoke, or “smokenado”, was seen amid the Mullen Fire, west of Laramie, Wyoming, on Friday, September 18, before the blaze expanded to 14,653 acres by September 22.

Footage captured from a distance by Cory Nuhn shows the twister on a hillside.

The National Weather Service issued an air quality warning on Friday as the Mullen Fire reached over 10,000 acres by Sunday.
