A Queensland snake catcher came to the rescue after a woman pulling up to a pharmacy in Lowood discovered a snake in her glove compartment.

In footage shared on Facebook on September 14 by Andrew’s Snake Removal, Andrew Smedley can be seen taking the snake out of the glove compartment after some initial attempts to hold on by the snake.

In the post, Smedly refers to the snake as a redbelly, adding, “the lady driving obviously got a hell of a fright.”

Smedly told Storyful that “snakes often end up in cars, usually in the engine bay, and from there they can pretty much go anywhere depending on the car. I’ve relocated quite a few snakes from cars over the years but never one in a glove box.” Credit: Andrew’s Snake Removal via Storyful
