Lightning illuminated storm clouds over Western Australia’s East Kimberley region on October 23.

Geoff Green captured the natural light show in these compiled timelapses, describing the spectacle on YouTube as a “strobe effect”.

“Build up to this [year’s] Monsoon season has started with a supercell drifting across the East Kimberley region,” he wrote. “Beware the strobe effect as this storm just continued to grow.”
