Thousands March in London During Black Lives Matter Rally

Drivers sounded their horns in solidarity with thousands marching through the Vauxhall district in London on May 31. The group marched in support of protests in the US triggered by the police-involved death of George Floyd in Minnesota days earlier.

Floyd died after a police officer knelt on his neck during an arrest on May 25. The phrase “I can’t breathe” has become a rallying cry for protesters after video circulated on social media showing Floyd pleading with the officer as he was held down.
