Severe thunderstorms rumbled through Oklahoma late October 26 into October 27, spurring tornado warnings and the threat of hail, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Footage taken by Andrew Shearer captures the sound of tornado sirens echoing in Norman – about 20 miles south of Oklahoma City – around 12:40 am on Wednesday morning.

The NWS said the severe risk for weather had decreased by 3 am but storms could not be ruled out for the area. Credit: Andrew Shearer via Storyful
