A trailer was spotted floating down the raging Meuse River in the southern Netherlands city of Maastricht on July 15 amid severe floods in Western Europe.

Masses of emergency responders and around 100 soliders were deployed across the province of Limburg, Dutch media reported.

Additional evacuations were issued in South Limburg in the early hours of July 16 as police patrolled the impacted areas.

A code yellow weather warning for heavy rain was issued for most of the Netherlands. Reports from the country said no deaths had been confirmed there. At least 59 people died in Germany. Credit: Pieke Roelofs via Storyful
